Hebgen Lake is about 18 miles from RedRock RV Park. Some guides believe Hebgen is the finest dry fly lake in North America. Hebgen has a good population of cutthroats, rainbows and brown trout. It's a big lake and there are many choices to put in. The Madison and South fork arms are a favorite of the fly fisherman. These are on the eastern section of the lake where the Madison River feeds into the it. |
| Fish along the Hebgen lake arms range from 14 to 18 inches with some into the 20 inch range. Non-fly fisherman Hebgen can be just as productive. There are many 20 + inch rainbows caught from trolling boats. You'll need a Montana license to fish here. WARNING | |
| Bootjack Pass road is actually Red Rock Road. | |
